Got out for 3 hrs 20 mins on Pudge. He's weighted down now with tools, spare tube, etc, including a crescent wrench so I can get the wheels off if I flat.
Here's the video.
Trying to get in ample climbing on the bike (and run, for that matter). Today, I was looking to match the elevation gain in the Leadville 100. Blew that out with 5,419 ft of climb in just 36 miles. Moving speed was just 11.1mph - though I coasted slowly several times messing with my jersey and pockets, I'll need to be averaging exactly 1mph faster at the Leadville 100 to make my target. Taking more VFuel gels with me next time. One gel in that amount of time isn't getting the job done. :-)
Might be getting near time to do a Walker Ranch runner versus rider TT.
ReplyDeleteI love that. I'm 99% certain I can ride it (quite a bit) faster than I can run it. Ask Lucho how I scampered down the rock steps descent in my ROAD cycling shoes (it was like wearing ice skates).
