Vi Fuel and Lucho Saying I'm "Intelligent" - Damn Right.

I had the opportunity to try out a new gel while pacing Lucho at Leadville.  The worse thing about it?  I ran out of it after 4 hours and had to start using aid station food.

Aside from the subtle and tasty flavors of vanilla and peach cobbler, the consistency isn't "gooey" like most gels, so it's easy to take.  Vi Fuel uses mostly maltodextrin and dextrose for energy and a fine balance of sodium and caffeine (10mg) to aid in digestion.  I didn't notice any spikes or dips in energy, just an even stream of of solid running.  After trying it out I contacted one of the founders and asked if he'd consider sponsoring me.  That's how good it is.  Proud to be on the Vi team!

And…  Tim Waggoner's podcast is up on Endurance Planet.  He discusses his run at Leadville, fueling,  and overcoming bad patches.  Most importantly, he talks about me for a few minutes.  I didn't bother listening to the rest of the podcast.

Entertaining.  Listen to it here.
